Landing a good job is something that we all dream of but is not easy to do, there are many requirements that one has to meet. Employers are looking for certain characteristics when interviewing potential employees. The candidates’ answers and attitude must reflect the qualities and characteristics that the employers are looking for. According to employers and recruiters, some of these characteristics include:

1. Quick learning
Employers want employees to be able to take up new skills quickly so that they contribute more to the workplace. Workers who are quick learners will be able to complete their tasks right on time, with more efficiency and this would be beneficial for the organisation.

2. Good communication skills
It is essential that the employees should be good at communicating and getting their point across to the other employees clearly. In this way, the staff members will be able to work together with high productivity. Good communication skills lead to cooperation among the workers and this will help the firm in the long run.

3. Team work
The workers also need to be team players. They should be able to work alongside other employees efficiently. Cooperation and coordination within the workforce is of utmost importance and therefore, all the workers need to be team players. With this team spirit in place, employees are able to work together towards the organisational goals.

4. Ownership of work
Employees should own the work that they are doing rather than just thinking of it as a job that has to be gotten over with. They should take pride in the work that they are doing as it will be reflected in their work ethic.

5. Quality education
It is important that candidates have all the required training, knowledge, and qualifications required to do a job. Recruiters will be looking for candidates with professional qualifications and these qualifications are reflective of what an individual can bring to the organisation in terms of knowledge and skills. Surveys show us that many companies are now hiring MBA graduates, with 76% of companies planning on hiring MBA graduates in 2019.

What recruiters are looking for is an amalgamation of academic qualifications as well as personality traits. The personality traits have to be developed through personal grooming over the course of many years. However, on the academic front, Magna Carta College which is an independent business school in Oxford, offers Masters and Bachelors programmes in Business Studies through the Flexible Distributed Learning method – so that students can study at their convenience. They have been professionally designed to help people in their careers.
